and Games Night

So, I had been planning a kalooki game from wappi kill fillup ….but to no avail. Consequently, I decided to take it on full fledged as my first IL Rep assignment. At first, I had some trouble finding a venue; no one really wanted a bag of drunk and loud idlerz at their yard…so I was more than thrilled when Castro offered, and more than rue when he backed out later on. I was almost back at square one when Computer Geek said:

"Oh inuh, you could use my office. It has tables and chairs and a kitchen and music …and ting"

Of course I was grateful, but at the same time I was thought … ‘dis boy neva hear mi a look a location from long time man?’

On the day of the get-together, which was set to start at 7pm, I made sure to line up a few idlerz who I knew would reach the office early, get the games started and ting. I left my house at around quarter to eight (yeah I said quarter to eight wut!!!) and stopped to buy some of my now favorite liquor, Coco Mania and Pepsi. When I finally got to CG’s office, expecting to see the place full-a-vibez and going strong, I instead saw only Shirow and a next dude…. a play pon computah.......streupssss.

Eventually, a few idlerz showed up…and every one of them hopped on to the computers as well, idlerz like: Thelokat, Roninswordsmith, Bawn_Jamaican, RAW, Neo, and Wolmaz_Mafia Man. The only female, aside from me, myself and I, was Ashem...and all she cock up pon computah too.

With nothing better to do (because I didn’t go there to play no darn computer game) I went into waitress mode, and made juice from the healthy stash that Roninswordsmith offered up.

Finally, dj_deejay came in with Maryjane, and then Spectro arrived, along with some others…enough people to start up a game that didn’t include the use of a computer.  Ofcoarse, as things would have it, none of the new arrivals save for Spectro, knew anything about ‘kalookie’.  I had to teach everyone (except for the computer nerds) the basics of the game. Then after, Ashem, MJ, DJ, Spectro and I, sat down for a round of what turned out to be a very confusing game …..in between phone calls, bar hits, the search for a radio, and the random breast comment (yeah my boobs were the stars of the night…nothing new there).

When 11pm came more folks sauntered in, and although I was totally glaring down the place, I was happy to have more company. We halted the game; actually we mash it up and ting, so that we could mingle for a bit with the late comers: Computer Geek, Simplicity, Joovenyle, CutieC, IllWill, Shazay, hypegyal18,gone mental, lithe, and a bunch a non-idlerz.

After all the ruckus caused by the ‘meet and great’ died down, we finally settled ourselves, and with drinks in hand, we got ready to play once more.... but wouldn’t you know it, we had a mysterious disappearance of mother hen just then, and she was gone for a good minute too…and boy...you nuh waan know where she was found…lol…ehm.

When henny made her way back, we FINALLY got down to the business.

Two groups were organized, one for dominoes, and the other for kalookie. We got a good kalookie game going this time; there was only one newbie among a bag a’ veterans, so it did well hype!  Poor Joovey was having a bad night at it, while CutieC did a good job of keeping up as the one rookie at the table. There was nuff chatting and drinking…..the vibez was alllllllll good.

Eventually it started to get late, and IllWill was feeling the U.W.I buzz, apparently there was some party on campus that he wanted to check out. It was then that Rainman stepped in, and of course ordered drinks from the bar…..this when everybody was getting ready to leave…. but hey, at least he passed through.

As everyone was about to take off, Computer Geek, realizing that we were all trying to ‘cut lef him with the mess’, locked us all in the office and demanded full participation in the clean up.  So....as he and like two other people started to clear up, the rest of us just hung around and chilled some more. The night’s ‘selectah’ played Shazay's song, "My Humps", and some inspection was done to see if she possessed any hump at all.

I’m not sure what the findings were.

Anyway, with the place all clean, we said our good byes and went our ways.
I'm quite sure a good time was had by all.
Next time though, we won't be meeting up in no blasted computer lab **glare**
